Commemorative monument for the 250th Anniversary of the Patronage of the Virgin Angustias in Ayamonte, Huelva, Spain. Made in Spanish Anasol from Macael and Italian White Carrara Extra marble with a honed finish.
Monumental measurements
The total measurements of the work are 16 meters wide by 9.6 meters high. The block that was used to carry out the creation of the Christ weighted 9 tons and once the work was completed had a final weight of 1,100 kilograms with dimensions of 315 cm in length.
3D scanning
For its exact reproduction, 3D scanning for sculpture technology was used for sculpture. For the reproduction of the high reliefs, they were primarily shaped in clay, subsequently scanned and then scaled to the size required for the project.
