Sigüenza Cathedral, the beauty of Spanish Gothic art, was the subject of conservation work due to the serious wear and tear that the passage of time has been generating in different areas of the stone.
The ogival windows carved with Gothic latticework had a high degree of deterioration, especially those whose orientation was located towards the North, whose sandstone was highly affected.
Through the 3D Scanning Service for sculpture, all the windows were scanned. At the first time all of them seem to be the same, but being handcrafted work carried out manually, there were important differences between them. We made the decision of trying to replicate the originals as closely as possible.
